Room description
Hello!
My fiancé and I are looking for a medium / long-term roommate to move into the 1st-floor bedroom in our house, which is a 3-5 minute walk from Yonge and Sheppard subway station (Line 1). Our previous roommate's working holiday (워홀) period ended, so she returned to Korea, and now we're looking for a new roommate!
Location highlights (all within walking distance):
Yonge & Sheppard Station (Line 1) – 3-5 minutes on foot
Nearby grocery stores: Longo's, LCBO, Food Basics / H Mart, Galleria, PAT
From Yonge & Sheppard to Finch, there's very good Korean community infrastructure — lots of Korean restaurants and supermarkets around.
The bedroom you'll move into comes with: closet, basic furniture (bed, mattress, desk, chair, lighting)
The previous roommate left behind sheets and bedding (already washed and available for you to use if you want)
The bed frame is queen-size, but currently has a twin mattress on it. If you prefer a larger mattress, feel free to buy and replace it yourself.
Upstairs live my partner and I: Me (female, late 20s)
My partner (Canadian male, late 20s)
Both non-smokers, working professionals.
Total 3 people sharing: Living room, kitchen, dining room
Dishwasher, fridge, washer, dryer
(No rent for the living room/common areas)
You’re welcome to use kitchen items such as: Air fryer, rice cooker, microwave, toaster
(Just keep them clean)
We provide: Dishwasher detergent, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, facial tissue, paper towels
Preferences: Long-term stay preferred
Responsible, quiet, and clean person
No smoking, no parties, no pets
Rent: $1,100/month — all utilities included (water, heating, hydro/electricity, high-speed internet) Move-in costs: First month's rent + last month's rent.
Since this is our actual home where we live, we haven't posted many photos. If you're interested, I can send more photos via Open KakaoTalk (오픈카톡).There is a BBQ grill in the backyard — on nice days, you can grill and eat outside in the yard. Our previous roommate lived here comfortably: First for language study, then came back on another working holiday for 1.5 years
We still keep in touch even after she left
We know how challenging it can be to live with others, so we really value mutual consideration and want to get along well. We mainly speak English at home, so this is a great place if you want more English exposure! The house is fully equipped with most appliances and kitchenware — you can basically just move in with your personal belongings. If interested, please contact me here or via Open KakaoTalk and include basic info: Desired move-in date
Planned length of stay
Status (student or working professional)
